ION have thought long and hard about how to keep your back cool when carrying a big pack. Rather than try to build air channels or use mesh nets, they've come up with a clever solution that allows you to lift the pack off your back during climbing, and cinch it down with the use of 2 simple straps when it's time to get rowdy. ION call it the Air Conditioning Cooling System.

The Transom exists in 16 or 24 liter capacity, both also capable of carrying a 3 liter bladder. A "V-String" system also helps to hold the pack down when you get upside down (for whatever reason...). The Transom features a removable tool pouch which makes trailside repair jobs a bit more comfortable.

The Transom exists in two sizes (S/M or L/XL), and will be available in the spring of 2016. It will retail for EUR 190, + EUR 30 for an optional protective backplate.
