This one has been a long time coming. The new Maxxis Minion Semi-Slick (SS) tire combines Minon side knobs with a super fast rolling, low-profile, and heavily ramped center patch.



The tire will come in both 27.5 and 29-inch sizes for trail/enduro bike use, an a downhill casing 27.5 version will also be offered.

I had the snakeskin version, and it works incredibly well for its intended purpos. Rolls incredibly fast and hooks up nicely when leaned over. For me it works best on hardpack, but did surprisingly decent in the wet. Once the side knobs wore down all it did was roll fast. If you push it hard through berms and don't always have the smoothest kind choices you can expect to be shearing off side knobs. Make sure you have tubes with you, good luck sealing that up!

Which version of the Rock Razor did you have? I'm looking at getting one in the Super Gravity casing, and was wondering how it rode in various conditions. I'm not sure if it will fit the spacing in the back end though. I couldn't fit a Continental Trail King 2.4. Thanks in advance.

The 26" market is still very important to us and the Minion SS will eventually be released for the 26" platform.
