2015 Oceanias Mountain Bike Championships Toowoomba Photo Blast - 2015 Oceania Championships - Mountain Biking Pictures - Vital MTB

The 2015 Oceanias Mountain Bike Championships held in Toowoomba, Queensland were run and won on Friday. Connor Fearon of Factory Kona Racing took the championship jersey despite finishing 2nd to U.S. rider, Ritchie Rude, who was not eligible for the regional title. Rude and Fearon were separated by just .01 seconds!

After a wet morning due to heavy overnight rain, the track was peanut butter for most of the morning. The soil dried fairly quickly turning the course into the fastest it had run all week. The Toowoomba track while not being very technical is one of the fastest tracks in Australia. Toowoomba is the hometown of Jared Graves and while he was the favorite for a win, he still secured a 3rd place finish. Chris Kovarik and Graeme Mudd rounded out 4th and 5th places. Claire Buchar put a significant dent in time of 2nd place Tegan Molloy in the Pro Women's class. View complete results.

Enjoy this quick photo blast from Oceanias and stay tuned for the detailed slideshow with audio from the riders after the Australian National round in Toowoomba later this weekend.
