Lisa Myklak, inspiration of the weekend. Lisa was the first woman to hit the first downhill jump. The next day, she hit all 3 and inspired every competitor on the mountain. Other women started jumping. Some got 1, some got 2 and some got all 3. Gene Hamilton didn't think he would race because of the jump sizes, but he finally hit the jumps perfectly and landed, screaming at the top of his lungs with excitement. Riders were pushed and some, like Gene, even thanked the track designers for making jumps big, but safe. Though some riders didn't enjoy the jumps (which is fine...we're all different and that's why there is more than one race venue), most came away with smiles for miles and a new level of confidence.
