Haßloch – introduced last year, the Bosch eBike ABS enables safer braking on any surface. eBikes equipped with ABS significantly reduce the risk of falling and overturning, and due to the braking forces that occur, they also require the highest quality standards for a braking system. As an additional partner, TEKTRO | TRP will collaborate in the future with Bosch eBike systems.
- Bosch eBike ABS will soon be available with TEKTRO | TRP brake components
- TEKTRO | TRP meet the industry´s highest quality and service requirements as a brake manufacturer
- All eBike types are supported with corresponding ABS modes
"We are firmly convinced that eBike ABS will become established on all eBike types in the long term and will become standard on high-quality eBikes," explains Claus Fleischer, CEO of Bosch eBike Systems. Thomas Lattke, Managing Director of TEKTRO Europe GmbH, adds: "We are very proud and happy that on the one hand our brake systems have passed the high quality requirements of Bosch eBike Systems, ABS of the 2nd generation, with flying colors, and that we also are able to offer our partners, especially the original equipment manufacturers, extensive services.”
TEKTRO | TRP braking systems will be available for all Bosch-powered eBike categories – from the eCity and eTreking all the way to eCargo and eMTB – optimized for specially developed ABS modes (ABS Touring, ABS Allroad, ABS Cargo and ABS Trail). eMTB riders in particular can look forward to this partnership: In addition to the proven TEKTRO Volans ABS and TEKTRO Dorado ABS brake systems, TRP’s high-end Trail EVO ABS brake system is also compatible with Bosch ABS.
Our proven 2.3mm disc brake rotor also offers an 8% improvement to heat resistance and a 47% increase in lateral stiffness. The lever blades, made of aluminum, enable ergonomic 1 to 3-finger positioning and a non-slip surface for a better grip. The brake pads are particularly impressive with high heat resistance, improved stopping time and noticeable noise reduction. The first eBikes with Bosch eBike ABS and brake components from TEKTRO | TRP are expected to be available from Q3 2023.
