NW Tune-Up Festival Announces 2024 Music Lineup 1

Performing artists Lupe Fiasco, Yonder Mountain String Band, and RJD2. Includes updates to music programming, new ticket types, Tunetown stages, and expanded brand partnerships in the Exhibitor Village.

Bellingham’s MTB x Music Festival

The Northwest Tune-Up festival returns for its third year, July 12–14, 2024 and promises another summer weekend filled with music, bikes, art, and PNW energy. As the largest event of its kind in Bellingham, Tune-Up has quickly become a favorite tradition for cyclists traveling from far and wide to experience more than the typical mountain bike event.

And with it comes an incredible music lineup that rivals this summer’s largest music festival lineups in nearby Seattle and around the Pacific Northwest. Each day of the festival will culminate with four incredible performances from widely diverse genres.  From openers to headliners, the lineup speaks to the 2024 festival’s focus on spectacle.

On Friday, festival goers can enjoy the sounds of Yonder Mountain String Band (bluegrass), followed Saturday by Lupe Fiasco (hip-hop), and RJD2 (electronica) on Sunday. Headlining performances have extended to 90 minutes, delivering full sets of rich sounds that will reverberate through Bellingham’s night sky.

Friday’s mainstage music opens with Indigo De Souza (bubblegrunge), Petty or Not (pop),  and The Lil Smokies (Montana roots bluegrass). Saturday brings sounds from Emancipator (livetronica), Magic Sword (synthwave), and Protoje meets Tippy I (modern reggae). The festival closes out Sunday evening with Dengue Fever (Cambodian rock), Saxsquatch (filthstep with Bigfoot), and The Moondoggies (American rock).

In addition to the main stage performances, NW Tune-Up is proud to introduce Tunetown: two stages with free afternoon music programming. Tunetown will showcase the creative local talent in Bellingham, providing an opportunity for music lovers to discover new artists and enjoy the area’s vibrant music scene from the free Exhibitor Village. This addition of free public music reflects Tune-Up’s commitment to community-wide accessibility and engagement.

Exhibitor Village Welcomes More Vendors

The party officially starts every morning in the Exhibitor Village, where over 50 brands (and counting) will set up shop in Downtown’s Waterfront District throughout the weekend. From industry mainstays like Shimano and Race Face to specialty brands like Chris King and Shredly, attendees will have the opportunity to explore and shop the latest gear, demo bikes, and connect with fellow passionate riders in the heart of Bellingham. The industry mecca of the mountain bike community.

Pop-up shops, vendor games, and bottomless demos will keep the village buzzing daily until 6 p.m. NW Tune-Up organizers heard the call last for more demos, so this year brings more bike brands, new partners, and extra activities to the Exhibitor Village. Paired with additional shuttle services to Galbraith and Chuckanut Mountain trailheads, the village is sure to quench Bellingham’s insatiable thirst for bike riding.
