Virgin, Utah. Every year, the best athletes of their trade come together in a remote part of the Utah desert to compete at Red Bull Rampage, the champions league of MTB freeride. It feels like just yesterday that the global MTB community had their eyes on Brendan Faiclough's masterclass in 2023. High speed, technical features, a canyon - the Brendog Rampage trademark. One year later, SCOTT Sports' very own Brendan Fairclough is back again at the event for unfinished business and as motivated as ever to show the world what he has to offer. We're back in a venue that the event saw last in 2019, one that is also etched in our memories.
So what can we expect from Brendan at this year's edition? One thing is for sure, Brendan and his building crew will certainly be taking "No Shortcuts" when it comes to creating a demanding line for the 2024 edition. Returning to Rampage, Brendan has a special SCOTT Gambler in his pitlane, whose design is reminiscent of the Formula 1 cars of the 80s, driven by the greats of their guild, the warhorses of motorsport. Sounds familiar? It should! Introducing Brendan's SCOTT Gambler Rampage X Tag Turbo Edition.
"Couldn't be more excited to be back at Rampage, one of the most fun and scariest events of the year. We're super excited to be back and hope everyone enjoys the journey." - Brendan Fairclough
Formula 1 Infused Design
Brendan, a big car fan himself, visited a car festival where he obviously couldn't take his eyes of a very special Porsche 911. With only 11 ever made, these special builds contain winning F1 engines from the years of 1985 and 1986, where Porsche, on behalf of TAG (Tag Turbo) had been the official motor partner of the infamous McLaren Racing Team around the one and only Alain Prost. From one legend to another, Brendan's SCOTT Gambler is a true homage to racing, featuring colors that couldn't sound more regal: Porsche Grand-Prix white, McLaren rocket red and Bugatti french blue - doesn't get any better than this.
Brendog's Custom SCOTT Gambler
Just in time for leaving for Rampage 2024, Brendan builds his custom SCOTT Gambler special edition with the help of his friends at MB Cyclery, UK. Pay close attention as he walks us through the build, the special parts and the many little personal details that make this bike truly special. Brendan rides a size Large SCOTT Gambler with FOX Suspension, DMR cranks, grips and pedals, Hayes brakes, ENVE wheels, Pirelli tires, SRAM shifter and rear mech, and a Deity bar/stem saddle and seatpost.
