Wy'East and Milepost 35 Expand Mountain Bike Programs for 2021

Sandy, OR — Summer is just around the next corner, and in Oregon’s Mount Hood National Forest, that means that it’s time for Milepost35 Mountain Bike Camp!

M35 operates out of an expansive private campus in Sandy, OR with over 3,000 acres of rideable terrain and 1,000 feet of vertical drop, including 6 miles of private trails designed in collaboration with Cam Zink and Sensus R.A.D. Trails. There’s single track, freeride flow, a dual slalom course, and everything in between, all designed to help riders of any ability level to push their riding, learn new things, and increase their confidence.

For summer 2021, Milepost35 is raising the (handle)bars in order to facilitate rider progression even more with a brand new, 40x40 foot catcher’s mitt airbag at the base of the private M35 trail system. With the instruction of pro coaches, campers will be able to send it into the airbag to safely learn new tricks before taking them to the nearby mulch jump and trails.

The new airbag is the perfect progression compliment to the legendary PNW terrain that surrounds the M35 campus, providing campers with single track, downhill, and lift-accessed trails on which to explore and hone their skills.

M35 MTB Camp offers four week-long sessions, each with a team of visiting professional riders—aka Signature Session Pros—eager to ride with both youth and adult campers. Starting in June, join Cam Zink, Carson Storch, Andrew Taylor, Nick Clark, and more to rip the best trails, jumps, and terrain in the Pacific Northwest.

Once summer is done, Wy’East Mountain Academy students in grades 7-12 continue to utilize the airbag and facilities year-round. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for both school-year and summer semesters.
