Australian online retailer Mountain Bikes Direct is sending two keen MTB fans to see the 2017 UCI MTB World Championships live in Cairns this September.

One lucky winner will score flights, accommodation, transfers and event tickets for two people to the international event. The prize is valued at over $2,600!

Mountain Bikes Direct co-founder Jen Geale says they are proud to be supporting and promoting the event.

“We’re stoked to see the World Champs arrive down under again after so many years” she said.

“This event brings together the best mountain bikers from around the world, and pits them against each other on the renowned tracks in the Smithfield Regional Park.”

She said the business was passionate about supporting the local mountain bike scene, and that events like there were a great showcase for the sport.

“Cairns is such an iconic riding destination, which makes this event and competition even more exciting”, said Geale.

The UCI MTB World Championships are an annual event, where cross-country and downhill riders from around the world are selected to represent their home country and battle it out to be crowned the World Champion. The event has not been hosted in Australia since 2009.

Through their online store, they make it possible for Aussie riders to buy high quality MTB parts, clothing and accessories at globally competitive prices.
