Who is LaBrute? Awesome XC Race Near Ottawa - June 12

Looking for some fun in the sun? It's time to get together for a day of epic riding and fun to raise money for the Ottawa Mountain Bike Association. Not to mention a ton of delicious food, good music, and insanely generous prizes courtesy of Specialized Canada. You can take part in the action and devour a hardy lunch for only $30!

June 12th at 11:11am, the first ever LaBrute race is on!

Here is a video of a 44 year old man with a goatee tearing the LaBrute course apart on his XC bike:

LaBrute is not the typical mountain bike event you would see in the East, and that's because it was inspired by the West Coast format of one-lap, mass start, technical XC races. It has an extra emphasis on fun and getting to know the local riding community, and maybe even riding your local trails in a completely new way. All while raising money for more trails. There's even more info here.
