Press Release:

Stages® Cycling to support the dream team of road, cross-country, enduro, DH and motocross athletes

BOULDER, CO, April 3, 2014— Stages® Cycling is pleased to announce the all-star line up of athletes who will ride and race Stages Power meters for the 2014 season. In the company’s sophomore year, Stages Cycling transitions from being the newcomer to the category to the choice of true cycling champions.

“We literally have the dream team of sponsored athletes this year,” said Stages marketing manager, Matt Pacocha. “We could not be happier with the group we’ve assembled, and we are extremely proud to have these athletes help us spread the word that their usage lends credence to: Stages Power is truly the power meter for every rider.”

Stages will support two major road programs—Team Sky, as announced in early January, and Team Novo Nordisk’s Professional and Development programs— two world class cross-country mountain bike outfits—Luna Women’s Racing, and Scott-3Rox Racing— plus the up-and-coming the Pro’s team. In the gravity realm, Stages continues with the Yeti Factory Enduro squad, headlined by Jared Graves and reigning junior downhill world champ, Richie Rude.

In addition to these major team sponsorships, Stages Cycling has individual partnerships with athletes headlining key multisport, mountain bike, and track disciplines.

These individual partnerships include, three-time downhill world champion, Greg Minnaar; gravity queen turned enduro superstar Anne-Caroline Chausson; and Olympic and multi-time US National champion, Jill Kintner, who is one of America’s most accomplished contemporary gravity racers.

On the triathlon circuit Cameron Dye, AJ Baucco, and Leon Griffin will be flying the Stages Cycling flag, among others.

On the track, we’re pleased to work with Six-Day racers Daniel Holloway and Guy East, and American Olympic hopeful Andy Lakatosh.

Stages Cycling will support a large swath of mountain bikers who compete on the uber trendy Enduro circuit. Stages is excited to share the ‘stoke’ with this new category of data junkies, many of whom are proving to be intense, gear-savvy, competitors.

The list of Stages Power riders runs long in Enduro as well, with familiar names including: Cannondale’s Overmountain team members Mark Weir and Jason Moeschler, Giant’s Jeff Lenosky, Geronimo Racing’s Brian Buell, Marin Bikes’ Kyle Warner, The Nomads (Chris Johnson and Dylan Wolsky), Transition ripper Lars Sternberg, Trek Enduro pioneer, Ross Schnell, and Santa Fe Brewing-Pivot mountain bike do-it-all, Mackey Franklin.

In 2014 Stages Cycling will also work with a select number of athletes who train on bikes, and are exceptional cycling enthusiasts, but two-wheeled professionals of a different nature—motocross racers.

Through a partnership with motorsport coach Ryan Fedorow, Stages Cycling infiltrates the MX world to prove that Stages Power is truly the power meter for every type of rider. Stages will support the following athletes: Justin Bogle and Wil Hahn of GEICO-Honda and Davi Millsaps of Rockstar Energy Racing-KTM; are all coached by Ryan Fedorow.

Look for these exceptional athletes to be warming up on Stages Power in the pits before their motos.

Stages Cycling LLC, based in Boulder, CO, launched the Stages Power meter at interbike in September 2012. The new Stages Power meter immediately made waves in the power measurement category. The new meter’s high-tech feature set, extremely low weight, unique direct left sided direct measure design, and economical cost make it the best choice for cyclists looking to train with power. In 2014 Stages Power became the official power meter of two-time reigning Tour de France champions, Team Sky.
