Katy Curd and Joost Wichman are aiming for the top at next week's 4X World Championships in Leogang. The preparation: good. The presentation: excellent. Rose Vaujany riders Katy Curd and Joost Wichman are aiming for a spot on the podium or even more during the World Championships 4X in Leogang, Austria, this weekend. Katy can count herself among the favorites. She won 15 times this year, including four races on the 4X Pro Tour. That meant winning the overall title as well. In Leogang she is up against Anneke Beerten (reigning world champion) and Caroline Buchanan (BMX world champion), among others.

Joost has raced less this year, because of his his role as team manager and some injuries. The previous months, however, he has trained intensively to be ready for worlds. He may still be seen as a potential candidate, based on the third place he grabbed during the recent 4X Pro Tour #4 in the Czech Republic.

World Champs Edition Bikes and Helmets

Especially for these World Championships Rose Vaujany built and painted new, unique Rose 4X bikes in the national colors. Not only the frames are special: Race Face provided the team with in-color products such as bars & grips, the Carbocage Chainguards are in the national colors and the iXS helmets got a new coating which matches perfectly with the bikes. This should certainly provide extra motivation for Katy and Joost.

Don't forget you can watch the UCI 4X World Champs live on Red Bull TV.
