Amateur and Professional Cyclists Take on Unique Challenge for Red Bull Berm Burners

WHAT:

The excitement of head-to-head Pump Track racing is back at a weekend event that celebrates a variety of outdoor sports. Red Bull Berm Burners is a dirt cycling event that combines all types of racing on the same track. Both Professional and Amateur riders will have the opportunity to take on the challenge, ultimately testing their strength and core abilities on a tight dirt cyclone of moto style rollers with bar dragging high speed berms. All cyclists and classes including: MTB, DH, Cross, BMX and more are welcome to enter and take on the challenge that is Red Bull Berm Burners.
Race format will be head-to-head, with five-lap racing to qualify for the finals. The 16 riders with the fastest single-lap times in qualifying will then compete in a head-to-head tournament-style bracket to determine the Red Bull Berm Burners Champion. Racers progress through the bracket by being the first rider to complete five total laps versus their opponent.

WHO:

Seventy international and local professionals and 150 amateur athletes from all bike disciplines: BMX, Road and Mountain Bike. Both competitions are open to all disciplines and cyclists ages 15 and over. Participants can register online until Sunday, May 12 at dominionriverrock.com or on-site thereafter at the American Civil War Center at Historic Tredegar.
