The final round of the Bosch eMTB Challenge 2021 took place this Saturday in the Italian town of Riva del Garda. As part of the already traditional Bike Festival Garda Trentino, the competition had a total of six special tests, 10 checkpoints and a track of about 30 kms.
The Miranda Factory Team team lined up in Italy with its usual “trio” – Emanuel Pombo, Tiago Ladeira and Nuno Reis, all at the controls of the KTM Macina Prowler Exonic powered by Miranda Bike Parts. Showing an excellent pace and an increasing experience in this competition format, the portuguese would eventually fill the podium.
Tiago Ladeira would be the big winner of this final stage. The athlete from Viseu had already “threatened” the highest place on the podium a few times this season and in Riva he managed that brilliant feat. “It ended up going really well in the last race of the season. I can only be happy for having achieved this victory, however I want to highlight our overall result… congratulations to the team. I want to especially thank Miranda for everything it has provided us throughout the time. Now it's time to rest and then start preparing for 2022”.
Emanuel Pombo, who recently won 3rd place in the EWS-E, secured in Italy the 2nd place among athletes in the Advanced category. A meritorious performance for the renowned portuguese athlete, who at the end commented: “The last race of the year went well with the podium being completely Miranda. I really enjoyed the last few days with the team taking the Miranda name and products across borders. We show the quality and performance of the products of this portuguese brand at the highest competitive level. Now it's time for a well-deserved vacation, before starting to prepare for the next season”.
The podium in the last race of the season was completed by Nuno Reis. The youngest recruit from this UCI formation managed to be 3rd in Riva del Garda. Increasingly used to this discipline and with a promising future ahead of him, Reis is an athlete to be taken into account in the coming seasons. In the end, Nuno said: “Despite the relaxed atmosphere within the team, it turned out to be a great race. I had a lot of fun and this podium turned out to be a good result for the team”.
This stage marks the end of this season, so the Miranda Factory Team formation wants to thank all partners, followers and friends, for all their support throughout 2021.
