MIke Ivanov had a mental health scare that was extremely serious in the closing part of 2019.
"As part of working toward a better self it was suggested to me by a medical professional to get back on my bike. Amazing to see the prescription from the doctor was to get back to pedaling. I took that advice and began to heal. It was the most powerful experience I have ever had to see what riding a bike could do for my mental health and recovery.
This bike started as an idea in my mind as a way to share awareness surrounding mental health and mountain biking. This idea then became possible only because of the amazing mountain bike community. This would never have been possible if it were not for the amazing companies and individuals that make up our community. During the pandemic when everything was uncertain and parts where next to impossible to get, this Downhill Monster was born. All parts where 100% donated from the generous vendors listed below."
The bike was built to generate awareness for Suicide Prevention. All proceeds generated from the bike will be donated 100% to Mission 22, a Veteran focused 501C. Mission 22 provides treatment programs to veterans for Post-Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury and other issues they might be facing. Together We Heal!
