Forestal Introduces Brand, Launches 4 New Bikes

Integrated battery assistance and lots of tech define these new rides from Andorra.

This is an extremely exciting day for the Forestal Team as we are releasing our first ever brand presentation focusing on 4 new, never before seen, Forestal bicycles.

Those who have been following our story over the past few years will be familiar with Siryon, our enduro eMTB featuring cutting edge technology, a built-in display, our self-developed EonDrive motor and Aurora battery.

Today, Siryon is joined by Cyon, Hydra, Aryon and Aryon SC, to complete our range of advanced and fully connected assisted bikes.

It hasn't been easy sitting on this secret for so long, but finally, we can announce details and share this presentation.

Below is a brief introduction to each of our new bicycles, you can find more information, specifications, geometry and images at forestal.com.

Cyon - Cyon is our first ever trail eMTB sporting a trail-specific Twin Levity suspension kinematic, lightweight Alpha Box carbon frameset and our advanced EonDrive assist unit.

Hydra - Hydra is based on Siryon but has been tuned and custom-built for the rigours of World Cup Downhill tracks. Benefiting from a lightweight but strong Alpha Box carbon chassis, downhill kinematics and built with race-pace in mind. Turn any hill into your own uplift with EonDrive.

Aryon - Aryon is our take on a folding bike. An elegant yet technical masterpiece fusing design with technology and convenience. Aryon takes our advanced off-road systems to the urban jungle.

Aryon SC - Aryon SC is built for speed, the ultimate in urban transport. Our speed concept edition Aryon is lightweight, agile, advanced and connected.

We hope you're all as excited seeing the new Forestal range as we have been developing them. More details about the new bikes below:

Forestal Cyon – Trail Bike Redefined

Epic climbs, exhilarating descents, finding flow, or just soaking up nature, a trail bike has to do it all. Cyon ticks all those boxes while remaining lightweight, strong, fully assisted, and constantly connected. Cyon redefines what a trail bike should be, and blurs the limits of what a trail bike is capable of.

As always, it all begins with the chassis. Cyon's Alpha Box carbon frameset fully integrates our powerful EonDrive assist unit, potent Aurora battery, and touch screen dashboard. Through computer simulations and rugged mountain test runs, our engineers have finely tuned the carbon layup to produce an agile and lightweight trail eMTB like nothing else.

Alpha Box for Cyon has been designed from the ground up at the Forestal Technology Centre as a true trail bike. An eMTB that riders can enjoy on a quick evening spin, a blast around the bike park, or for climbing new heights and big mountain adventures. The trail-ready frameset features modern geometry for an efficient seated position and roomy cockpit. The asymmetric design is not only stunning to behold but functional too, freeing up space for a water bottle and easing rear shock access.

Our proprietary Twin Levity suspension linkage provides Cyon with 150mm of rear-wheel travel for soaking up repeated hits, boosting climbing traction and rewarding riders with an energetic and spirited ride. Cyon will ride terrain however you want it to. Plough through or air over the choice is yours.

It was important when developing Cyon to ensure that it rides just as a trail bike should both with and without assistance. When switched on, EonDrive's active flow offers 60Nm of assist across 4 levels, when switched off the drive unit is completely disengaged and adds no resistance to the drivetrain. EonDrive is powered by an integrated Aurora battery pack that can be fast-charged to 80% in just 84 minutes and with its optional range extender, Cyon will never leave you wanting for more.

Cyon goes on sale today and is available in our Halō, Neōn and Diōde build kits, finished with the best trail bike componentry the mountain bike world has to offer.

Forestal Hydra – Ultimate e-DH Bike

Welcome to a World where every mountain has its uplift. Forestal Hydra, a technical masterclass housed in an e-Downhill chassis.

Followers of Forestal will know that as a brand we thrive on the idea of combining nature with the most advanced engineering and electronic systems. The challenge that we set ourselves has meant developing our assisted bikes from the ground up, including motors, batteries, displays, software and, of course, our Alpha Box carbon chassis.

This development presents us with new hurdles to face, but it also allows us a level of integration and development unheard of in the cycling industry, and this means we get to adapt familiar frames to perform in exceptional circumstances.

Hydra is our most advanced e-Downhill bike. A machine born off the back of Siryon running a familiar Alpha Box frameset, but not an identical one.

While developing Siryon in-house at the Forestal Technology Centre, we asked our engineers how we could go about enhancing its Alpha Box for the stresses of World Cup Downhill tracks. Using our advanced CAD software, 3D models were created and before we knew it, we had something that looked like Siryon, but was altogether new.

This was the birth of Hydra. Using Siryon as a base but utilizing its own carbon construction and layup to enhance rigidity in key areas without compromising weight.

Like Siryon, Hydra sports 170mm of rear-wheel travel, but once again our team has run the numbers and through rugged testing have come up with a downhill-specific Twin Levity suspension tune supple enough for small bump compliance but with the ability to absorb World Cup level jumps and drops.

The build kit also shows Hydra's true intentions with race-proven RockShox Boxxer or Öhlins 38 m.1 forks, a coil shock and powerful brakes for speed and control.

At the heart of Hydra is the Forestal EonDrive Active Flow assist solution and efficient Aurora battery, giving riders the ability to turn any hill or mountain into their personal downhill track.

Hydra is available to order now, and full specifications and details can be found on our product pages.
