In his first attempt at the BC Bike Race, Rocky Mountain's Felix Burke beat two-time consecutive winner Geoff Kabush by 5:05 minutes.  From North Vancouver, to the Sunshine Coast, to its conclusion in Squamish, this seven-day mountain bike stage race covered nearly 200 miles of British Columbia’s best single track with a total 31,346 ft of climbing and -31,568 ft of descending

After some quick testing on his home trails, Felix chose to use the new CushCore XC for the race.

“'Scott Pilecki, our Team Manager, sent them [CushCore XC] to me to test out, and I was thinking about the weight, too, but, it's not all about weight anymore; it's about getting a performance advantage,''

"Obviously, you don't want to add too much weight because it still counts, but the performance advantage is more than what the weight is going to take away. There's less sliding out, which saves a lot of energy.''

''With the CushCore, I was running between 17psi and 18.5psi in the back, and between 18psi and 19psi up front.'' Much lower numbers than the 22 to 23psi that he was running without CushCore.

“I'm super stoked, now it's time to party!” – Felix Burke
