Angel Fire Resort to Host Labor Day Gravity Games & Brewfest

FESTIVAL FEATURES THREE DAYS OF FUN-COMPETIVE MOUNTAIN BIKING EVENTS, LIVE MUSIC AND COLD BREWS

ANGEL FIRE, NM - (August 14, 2013) – Angel Fire Resort (www.AngelFireResort.com) home to one of the top five mountain biking destinations in North America, today announced its line up of events for its first annual Gravity Games & Brewfest starting Friday, August 30. The Gravity Games & Brewfest is a Labor Day Weekend event that brings together outdoor music, a movie premiere, a mountain-side brewfest environment with a vast assortment of New Mexico’s finest craft beers and three days of friendly biking competitions on the mountain. The weekend will include open rides, equipment demonstrations, skills training sessions and several competitions. The three-day event will also include family friendly races, contests and a full-scale mountain biking scavenger hunt. The resort will also be offering a Friday night golf scramble sponsored by Budweiser, as well as fly-fishing and golf clinics over the weekend.

All season pass holders (Gravity Pass Holders) will be entitled to free entry to the Gravity Games and Brewfest. Non-season pass holders 21 and older, can purchase tickets for all of the Gravity Games Events, a custom designed event pint glass and beer tastings for $40. Stand alone Gravity Games tickets can be purchased for $30. Stand alone brewfest and custom designed event pint glass entrance passes for those 21 and older can be purchased for $20.  Limited edition Gravity Games & Brewfest T-shirts will also be for sale. Tickets are available for purchase in the Angel Fire Resort Bike Shop or at the Lift Ticket Office.  

Some of the nation’s top microbrews will compete for “best of show” prizes, voted on by all the event attendees.  Some of the breweries included in this year’s brewfest are: Santa Fe Brewing Company, Marble Brewing Company, Taos Mesa Brewing, De La Vega’s Pecan Grill and Brewery and Comanche Creek Brewing Company.

Special Gravity Games & Brewfest lodging rates start at $125 plus tax, for a standard room in the Lodge and 2 tickets to the Brewfest. Also available is the Stay & Ride Mountain Bike Package starting at $69, per person, based on double occupancy and includes lodging and lift tickets.
