RESULTS and REPLAY: Les Gets Downhill World Cup Junior Finals

Be careful what you ask for, it might just come true. The weather has been cooperating this whole week in Les Gets, but that has just made the steep and fast track even trickier to navigate. The dust was deep and the holes were getting ever bigger as the juniors raced their finals today, but we were very happy to have a fair race on our hands. Valentina Roa Sanchez dominated the junior women today, after a season of consistent high-level riding she finally took her first win today and leaves Les Gets with the overall leader's jersey as a bonus. In the junior men's, Ryan Pinkerton showed that he is indeed the guy to beat right now, crushing the rest of the field on his way to a statement win. Jon Mozell rode his Forbidden into second place with a run that had him occupy the hot seat until the very last minute, with Evan Medcalf in third rounding out an all-North American podium. Yeehaw!
