Richie Rude and Tracy Moseley Lead EWS Tweedlove After Day 1 4

Day one of racing, and the shake-up at the top of the leaderboard at the Tweedlove Enduro World Series race will definitely have rattled a few bones. With 4 stages down, the local boys Mark Scott and Ruaridh Cunningham are doing well, last week's winner Greg Callahan is obviously still feeling good, Florian Nicolai is charging...and then there's one Richie Rude, fearlessly charging and on the hunt for his first ever EWS win. Tomorrow it's all about the controversial stage 6 and seeing who has the legs to limit the pedal fest time loss, but for now, here are your top performers.

Awesome for Rude, I hope he can piece it all together.

Re; controversy, I thought Enduro was marketed as mountain biking, as in riding to the top and pinning it down with your buds, even if it is a down with a lot of peddally bits. I did not know that Enduro is now wanting to be a downhill stage race. Did something shift?

On a side note I hope you realize these guys are still climbing 5000+ Feet each day on average. Yes that's not timed but they are putting out 5-6 hour days on the bike. Pretty impressive

Agreed. I've been to enduros and have been blown away by the elevation gain over a day. Maybe I am missing the point of the "controversy", maybe it is about having toasted legs and piling on more? Or is it about the great descender POed that the great legs can put some time on them? IDK.

IMHO, it is the race, it is what is in front of you, and you let your race performance speak for you rather than creating a "controversy", or is that the media making more than what is there?

Someone enlighten me.

I have to say, I am most impressed that these riders can PIN so many miles of DH with very little pre-ride. That takes incredible skills.
