As drama surrounds the 2016 Leogang World Cup with clear-cutting and last-minute course changes, the riders had their first taste of the Austrian DH track today for practice and timed training. Troy Brosnan, Tracey Hannah and Gaetan Vige went fastest during the timed training session. The sun was out but the course was still muddy in the natural sections and there was plenty of slipping to be had.

Timed training is not mandatory and does not provide any points or results toward the World Cup overall, but it is the first official indication of how the course may run for race day. Qualifying takes place on Saturday where the Men's field will be narrowed down to the fastest 80 riders for Sunday's race.
