RESULTS - Timed Training, 2019 Lenzerheide World Cup Downhill

The site of the 2018 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships plays host to the seventh round of the 2019 Mountain Bike World Cup. Today in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, top-ranked racers took their first timed runs on a partially new downhill track. The infamous and angry rock garden of the Lenzerheide DH course has been removed and a steep new section in the trees adds some variety. The classic traversing bowled corners remain, but with some changes to course taping.

Down to the wire, Troy Brosnan snuck in at the end of the session with the fastest time of the day of 2:57.33, just .179 ahead of Danny Hart in the Elite Men's class. Brosnan and Hart were ahead of 3rd place, Dean Lucas, by 2 seconds. From there on down, the times are incredibly tight with Mike Jones and Loic Bruni rounding out 4th and 5th. Tracey Hannah stomped on the Elite Women's field by nearly 10 seconds. Kye A'hern goes fastest in Junior Men over Thibaut Daprela with a 3:06 and Vali Holl was the only Junior Woman with a race-pace time of 3:37 - a time that was just 5 seconds off Tracey Hannah's 3:32.

The results from timed training do not award series points or count toward overall ranking.
