RESULTS - Richie Rude and Melanie Pugin Win EWS Crans-Montana

The EWS pulled into Crans-Montana with all eyes on the titanic battle between Jack Moir and Richie Rude that's been going on all season, but a crash in the Pro Stage on day one left Jack with a time deficit of 18 seconds and more importantly, a shoulder injury to deal with. Jesse Melamed and Martin Maes made sure to keep the pressure on Richie as Jack lingered a bit further down on the leaderboard than usual, but the American was not to be denied today. Jack put up a good fight to finish in 10th place, salvaging important points for the overall while Richie made the most of the circumstances to reclaim the lead in the overall by 90 points.

In the women's race, Melanie Pugin was already leading the series and she put more points between herself and her pursuers with another win here today. Morgane Charre moved into a tie for second place overall with Harriet Harnden, after finishing 2nd here in Crans-Montana. Noga Korem rounded out the race podium in third place.

Now it's onto Italy for the Finale event next week, and we can't wait to see how the title races develop!
