The racers were flying in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, during qualifying for the 5th round of the 2016 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup. Despite the high speeds, times are running slower than last year's race as there have been some changes to the course.

Danny Hart, who remained quiet during timed training yesterday, had a flawless run speeding fastest through all splits and fastest at the finish. Danny qualified 1st with a 3:09. George Brannigan was right on the pace in 2nd just 1.8-seconds behind Danny, showing a first split that proves he has room to improve. 2015 Lenzerheide winner, Greg Minnaar, finished 3rd. Mike Jones and Laurie Greenland stirred up the expected results board with solid 4th and 5th place results respectively.

Split times show that Aaron Gwin was on a fast run until this wild crash between split 2 and 3. It should be noted that Gwin's 1st place timed training run from yesterday was a 3:08, slightly quicker than Danny's fastest qualifying run today. The Top 10 Elite Men are separated by less than 4 seconds. DNF's include Mick Hannah, Sam Dale and Bernard Kerr. At the time of writing we do not know the reasons for their DNF results.

Tahnee Seagrave took .5-seconds out of Rachel Atherton with a 3:39 to go quickest and Myriam Nicole made a triumphant return to racing after injury with a solid 3rd place result. The winning Women's time in 2015 was a 3:28 set by Rachel.

Finn Iles ran quickest in the Junior Men's class with a 3:18. Times are tight in the class with the Top 16 riders separated by less than 10 seconds.
