RESULTS - Martin Maes and Isabeau Courdurier Win EWS Pro Stage in Finale

The gelatos are cold but the racing is already heating up in Italy!

The EWS has arrived in Finale Ligure, for the penultimate round of the 2021 season. It's the first time the series doesn't actually finish here, but with a title race that looks set to go down to the wire, you can bet the riders will be feeling the pressure as they come down that famous last stage tomorrow. Before getting to that, they had the pro stage to contend with today, a single stage that awards extra points towards the overall and also serves to rerack the starting order of the top riders for the remaining stages of the race. Pro men title contenders Jack Moir and Richie Rude finished right at the pointy end of the rankings today, just behind a resurgent Martin Maes, while Isabeau Courdurier is obviously feeling good here in Italy and laid down the fastest time of the pro women. Tune in tomorrow to find out how it all plays out!
