RESULTS: Martin Maes and Isabeau Courdurier Lead EWS Tasmania After Day One

Day one of the EWS Tasmania featured only one stage, but since it is the designated Queen Stage is carries an extra 40 points making it particularly important to those chasing valuable points at the sharp end of the championship. And on that topic, none sharper than the winners of round one, Martin Maes and Isabeau Courdurier. Both picked right up where they left off last week in New Zealand, taking the stage one wins here in Derby by fairly convincing margins. Shout out to Connor Fearon who rode his flat pedals straight from the DH World Cup to second place on the day - yeah Connuh! In the women's category, EWS newcomer and legendary all-around bike handler Jill Kintner lands herself in 5th with a lot of trail still to be ridden. Tune in tomorrow to see how the rest of the race unfolds!
