What a difference a day makes. The rain has backed off in Maribor but there is still a lot of moisture in the dirt, and there are new sections of track which the riders need to get up to speed on quickly. That has led to a reshuffling of some of the leaderboards, and promises exciting racing tomorrow as the weather forecast looks promising. After a couple of uncharacteristic errors in the last couple of races, SuperBruni showed up today and set the record straight again in the Elite Men's category, with Thibaut Daprela confirming he is a new force to be reckoned with after landing in 2nd place today, 1.1 seconds back. Aaron Gwin still needs to make up some time on the fastest guys out there, but a top-ten today will give the Californian a much-needed confidence boost, while race 1 hero Remi Thirion might be praying for more rain. In the Elite Women's category Myriam Nicole is obviously liking dry-ish Maribor a lot more than wet Maribor, as she put over 3 seconds into her nearest rivals today, while in Junior Men's Oisin O'Callaghan continues to dominate, come rain or shine. Anastasia Thiele and Leona Pierrini swapped their R1 and Q2 spots in the Junior Women's.
