RESULTS: 2017 Enduro World Series Crankworx, Whistler

It was billed as the toughest EWS in history, the return of #crankzilla, with over 4200 meters of climbing and descending to deal with in one single day of racing (with some climbs done by chairlift). With that amount of vertical over dry and dusty, blown out technical trails, there was always going to be drama, but who could have predicted that times would be so tight? After 44 minutes of timed stages, only 14 seconds would separate race winner Jesse Melamed from Sam Hill, winner of stage 1 and challenging for the race win all day. In the overall however, Hill adds 70 points to his lead over Adrien Dailly to lead by 110 points going into the 8th and final round in Finale Ligure. Exciting!

In the women's, there was much less drama, at least at the top of the leaderboard. Cecile pulled off another "total stage domination" win taking 5 out of 5 stages and a convincing race victory by over one minute. She has now also secured the overall title with one race to go.
