Vernon, NJ – May 19, 2014 – Specialized’s Aaron Gwin took home the win at stop #2 of the USA Cycling ProGRT Tour and the Eastern States Cup Series at Mountain Creek Bike Park. After missing out on last year’s event, Gwin returned to his winning ways in the Garden State recapturing his 2012 Spring Classic title in dramatic fashion.  After opting to not take his seeding run on Saturday Trek World Racing’s breakout star Neko Mulally, a local favorite, was the first pro out of the gate putting him in the Hot Seat with a time of 2:09.29.  Neko, held off the next 56 pro racers in what was the best represented pro field at an American race so far this season.  Last out of the gate was Gwin, the fastest racer in Saturday’s seeding runs.  It all came down to line as Gwin was able to put together the fastest run of the weekend with a time of 2:08.21, edging out Mulally by an impressive 1.28 seconds.  Aaron and Neko were joined on the podium by teammates Mitch Ropelato (Specialized), Brook MacDonald (Trek) and George Brannigan (Trek) taking 3rd through 5th respectively.
