Steve Peat, Josh Bryceland, and a host of other World Cuppers were out in Portugal this past weekend, some looking for a little racing refresher before the season starts up again, but others, like Peaty, in search of precious UCI points. Peaty spent most of 2015 injured, and as a result, he lacks the 30 UCI points needed to be eligible to enter a World Cup race. A win here in Portugal would have been enough, but it was not to be for the big man. That means he now has to either find another race with UCI points up for grabs, or ask to race in the British Cycling federation jersey in Lourdes, and hope that he gathers up enough points there to then continue the season as per normal. As a reminder, 2016 is Peaty's last season racing the World Cup, after he announced his retirement plans at the end of last year. Let's hope it won't be more difficult for him than it needs to be...

Yes, Pardal didn't race and for sure he would have been top 20, but yes, in Dh whe have like 3 really good racers with wc pace.
You guys can start race younger and your federation suports more that ours.just so you see last year on world champs they only took 2 guys and andorra is probably the nearest wc or wchamps to portugal. And no women. Not even the national champ
