Nico Lau and Tracy Moseley Lead Tweedlove EWS After Day 1

Day 1 of racing at the Tweedlove EWS has delivered more gnar and certainly more leaderboard drama than anybody could have expected. After some timing glitches on stage 4, the results are finally in, and the top-20 looks nothing like what we would have anticipated, at least not in the men's. Nico Lau confirms his good form by taking a solid lead into day 2, but many of the usual suspects have come up short. Jared Graves has had a few crashes and off-piste excursions, and sits in 28th. Martin Maes broke his saddle but was able to continue with a little help from CG and some duct tape, leaving him in 20th position. Local boy Joe Barnes is enjoying his home court advantage and making it count in 2nd place.

In the women's it's the familiar trio of Moseley, Chausson, and Ravanel up top, with Tracey holding a comfortable 27-second lead over Anne-Caro.
