The 2014 edition of the UK National Downhill Championships went down this weekend in Innerleithen, Scotland. Josh Bryceland confirmed his recent run of good form, backing up his first ever World Cup win with a dominating performance here for his first ever UK senior title, coming in 3.5 seconds up on second-placed Gee Atherton. Could a certain new bike have something to do with it?

Thanks Peaty dog for the podium shot! (Did he sing it???)

In the women's, Rachel Atherton seems to be back to her former self after a lengthy bout with illness, and she'll be holding on to the coveted national champs armband another year after comfortably seeing off the challenge from Manon Carpenter. Laurie Greenland confirmed his fastest-UK-junior status taking 1st ahead of Taylor Vernon.
