In a Facebook post today, defending Enduro World Series Champion Jared Graves has made it clear that he won't be racing Rounds 2 and 3 of the Enduro World Series. Graves sustained an injury shortly before the Round 1 at Crankworx Rotorua while training at home. Both shoulders were separated with significant muscle tearing around his shoulder blade and back. Graves was hopeful he could return for Round 2.

"As EWS rounds 2 and 3 are just around the corner, it's time to mention that despite some good (but very frustratingly slow) progress on my shoulders, I wont be racing in Ireland and Scotland later this month. They just aren't quite ready to handle flat out descending yet. Rest assured my training and rehab is in full swing and ill be firing on all cylinders when I return for racing next month for the first two Big Mountain Enduro races in Colorado before EWS #4 in France. Thanks for all the support!" - Jared Graves

Graves was firing on all cylinders prior to his injury, and we're excited to see his return to racing later this season. Vital interviewed Jared before the season began - sit back and enjoy some candid answers with one of MTB's best:
