When the chips were down, the two best slopestyle athletes in the world stomped their very best runs. It's not often we get treated to such a perfect climax to an incredible contest, and when it happens, you almost feel sorry that there can be only one winner. Brett Rheeder held the first round lead after a signature run that was not only incredibly technical but Rheeder-smooth as well, but Rogatkin was not to be denied on the day. Putting down his signature "Twister" on only the second feature of the course was a sign of things to come, and just when you thought you'd seen it all from the crazy trickster, he landed the world's first cashroll tailwhip on the money booter. Yep, you read that right. If there is one replay you don't want to miss this year, it's got to be this one! Last man to drop in, Rheeder added a couple of fresh twists of his own to improve on his first round score, but in the end he would come up just short. We can't wait to see what these two have in store for us at the final of the Crankworx World Tour in Whistler later this summer.
With his second win of the year, Nicholi Rogatkin remains in the running to take home the first ever Triple Crown of slopestyle (3 out of 4 World Tour wins required). If anybody can do, it's the visorless wizard!
