FINAL RESULTS: Rudeau and Courdurier Win EWS Loudenvielle, Melamed and Courdurier Series Champs

The 2022 EWS season is a wrap!

The conditions were tricky at the final race of the 2022 season, with overnight rain leaving the tracks slick and treacherous in places. With overall titles on the line, both Isabeau Courdurier and Jesse Melamed came out swinging despite being in a position to just nurse it home for the hardware. Racers at heart, that's not how either of them wanted to sign off on their campaigns, and they both put an exclamation mark on their titles with a 2nd and 6th place finish here in Loudenvielle, respectively. Alex Rudeau bagged his first EWS win, which was also the first win for the Commencal Enduro Project, and we can't but marvel at how good the Andorran brand is at finding and nurturing good racers. Martin Maes and Jack Moir completed the men's race podium.

Morgane Charre desperately wanted a race win to close out the season, and she managed to secure it with a great performance on the very last stage of the day. Overall series champ Isabeau took second, some 30 seconds clear of Melanie Pugin in third. Yet again France goes 1-2-3, further underlining just how dominant the country is when it comes to gravity racing, be it EWS or DH. Bring on 2023!
