Familiar names atop the podiums as the third race of the EWS season concludes in Italy.
Richie Rude and Jesse Melamed have been sharing the two top steps of the podium since the season started, so it came as no big surprise to find them once again battling it out for the win in Val di Fassa Trentino, Italy. The two riders split the five stage wins between themselves, with Richie taking the overall win by a mere five seconds. Crucially, the American also took victories on the Pro Stage and the Queen Stage, thereby maximizing his points haul for the weekend and solidifying his lead in the overall standings. Eddie Masters rode fast and consistent to land himself on the third step of the podium.
In the women's category, Isabeau Courdurier continues to dominate, taking four out of five stage wins on her way to a commanding 30-second victory margin in the overall ahead of Morganne Charre. A resurgent Harriet Harnden pulled back a lot of time on the long and physical final stage of the race to secure her spot on the podium. Healing vibes to Ella Conolly who broke her arm in practice.
