Last time the EWS visited the Tweed Valley Richie Rude got DQed for going the wrong side of a course marker. Sweet redemption in 2022 for the American as he mounted a strong charge up the leaderboard to claim victory over Jesse Melamed by a handful of seconds. Local boy Innes Graham used homecourt advantage to claim a career-best 3rd place, with Martin Maes showing he's in form too landing just 7 seconds off the podium. Defending overall champ Jack Moir is still recovering from injury and came home in 26th place. Shoutout to Dan Booker who stepped up in Sam Hill's absence to deliver a career-best 5th place finish and keep the team colors flying high. There was a little bit of extra drama during the day as a crash on the 2nd stage ultimately saw that stage cancelled as it took a while to evacuate the injured rider and several other racers had their runs disrupted. Healing vibes to the man down! In the women's category it was another tale of homecourt advantage as young Scot Ella Conolly took her first ever EWS victory ahead of Bex Baraona and Isabeau Courdurier.
