FINAL RESULTS: Martin Maes and Cecile Ravanel Win EWS Finale 3

He's done it! Martin Maes built an impressive lead on day 1 and he held on today to take his first ever Enduro World Series race win! Congrats to the young Belgian who at just 19 years of age could still be battling it out in the U21 class for a couple of years if he wanted to...

Richie Rude who only needed a mid-field finish to secure the overall series title rode hard all week and brought it home in 2nd place, what a way to sign off on his 2nd World Champion title on the trot. On a day that saw Nico Vouilloz and Anne-Caro Chausson retire from the sport, we couldn't have dreamt up a more fitting finale in Finale for the youngs guns. The future is bright.

In the women's race, Cecile proved as dominant as she was on day one, winning 3 out of 4 stages for a total haul of 6 out of 7 and her 7th race win of the season. Having already secured the overall title at the last race, she still put on a show and reminded the rest of the field that they are going to have to step it up if they want to take the fight to her next year. The good news is that Isabeau Courdurier is getting closer!
