FINAL RESULTS - Jack Moir and Harriet Harnden Win EWS La Thuile #2

The 2nd race of the La Thuile double-header took place under clear skies, and the battle was as fierce as the July sun in Italy. In the elite men's category, the lead would change several times between the two fastest riders of 2021 so far, with Jack Moir eventually coming out on top following a couple of mistakes by Richie Rude on the very last stage of the day. Sweden's Zakarias Johansen signed a career-best performance as he rounded out the podium in third. In the elite women's, it went right down to the wire as well, with Harriet Harnden claiming the win after race leader Andreane Lanthier Nadeau crashed on the last stage, leaving the door open for Melanie Pugin to take second with Isabeau Courdurier in third. With this remarkable performance in only her first EWS season, "Hattie" also became the youngest ever EWS winner at 20 years of age.
