FINAL RESULTS: Enduro World Series, Colombia - Sam and Cecile Victorious Again

Dust or mud, city or mountain. The conditions and terrain type are insignificant descriptors when evaluating the performances of both Sam Hill and Cecile Ravanel. The two have won the Enduro World Series with an urban stage and in peanut-butter-like mud in Manizales, Colombia, one week after winning in the moon dust and altitude of Chile. The rain came down over night in Colombia making the courses incredibly tricky, slippery and even unrideable as Stage 6 of 7 was ultimately canceled.

Sam Hill can wallride, too.
If only it was this dry on race day. Not that it mattered for Sam Hill.

Sam won all the stages of consequence this weekend and Cecile's performance included three stage wins as well, despite her battling illness. Hometown hero and World Cup downhiller, Marcelo Gutierrez finished a respectable 2nd place with Damien Oton rounding out 3rd place in Elite Men. Isabeau Courdurier (2nd) and Katy Winton (3rd) found familiar places on the podium in the Women's class while young gun and team mate of Sam Hill, Elliott Heap earned Men's U21 victory.

Battling an illness, Cecile took home gold.
Eyes on the prize regardless of terrain or conditions.
