The rumor mill continues to churn out more and more supporting evidence for a 2012 Crankworx festival at the Les 2 Alpes resort in France. A few days ago
the festival was announced to select European media outlets. Today, course drawings/renderings from Ayton Concept, the event organizer, and what appears to be a finalized schedule were released on
26in.fr.
Yannick Granieri will be helping design and build the slopestyle course. What's interesting is what he plans to include on the course.
See the mystery box wrapped up like a birthday present? A video interview with Yannick tells us that it's likely a trampoline! Also, is that a suspended bridge we see? The step-up to double step-down will be interesting, too. All three features could be very tricky for riders.
Pierre Edouard Ferry will help design and shape the dual style and dual climb courses. In the dual climb, riders will ride both up and downhill.
The week of events wraps up with the Mountain Of Hell, a massive enduro style race. Riders will build points for each event they compete in, and the King of Crankworx Les 2 Alpes will be crowned at the end. Up to €10 000 is slated for prize money.
