And Then There Were Ten | Red Bull Hardline Qualifying Results 7

Red Bull Hardline is waging a war of attrition on the field, and out of the original 23 riders, only 10 have managed to complete a qualifying run.

And Then There Were Ten | Red Bull Hardline Qualifying Results

The event should probably have been named NearImpossibleLine, but that just doesn't roll off the tongue like Hardline does. Staying with the topic of rolling though, here are the ten riders who managed to put down a qualifying run and will thus roll out of the start gate for the finals later today:

  • Adam Brayton (GBR) - 2.27.63
  • Bernard Kerr (GBR) – 2.29.66
  • Alexandre Fayolle (FRA) – 2.30.64
  • Craig Evans (GBR) – 2.33.00
  • Dan Atherton (GBR) – 2.35.83
  • Taylor Vernon (GBR) – 2.40.62
  • Graeme Mudd (AUS) 2.40.71
  • Laurie Greenland (GBR) – 2.41.93
  • Al Bond (GBR) – 2.43.19
  • Kaos Seagrave (GBR) – 2.46.98

Interestingly and perhaps predictably, especially given the harsh Welsh conditions at this year's race, the final start list is comprised entirely of World Cup DH racers which proves that you need a special skillset to make it down Dan Atherton's beast of a course in one piece - let alone put down a fast time. For reference, below is the original list of invited riders (those who managed to qualify are highlighted in bold). Special props to Kaos Seagrave who's up there with the big boys despite still racing the World Cup as a junior!

  • Adam Brayton (GBR)
  • Al Bond (GBR)
  • Alexandre Fayolle (FRA)
  • Bernard Kerr (GBR)
  • Brage Vestavik (NOR)
  • Brendan Fairclough (GBR)
  • Brook Macdonald (NZ)
  • Bruce Klein (USA)
  • Charlie Hatton (GBR)
  • Craig Evans (GBR)
  • Dan Atherton (GBR)
  • Darren Berrecloth (CAN)
  • Dave Mcmillan (AUS)
  • Gee Atherton (GBR)
  • Graeme Mudd (AUS)
  • Greg Williamson (GBR)
  • Jérôme Caroli (SWI)
  • Kaos Seagrave (GBR)
  • Laurie Greenland (GBR)
  • Oscar Härnström (SWE)
