Well, the first ever Enduro World Series race is in the bag, and it sure seems to have lived up to all the hype. In the men's, we have Fabien Barel, World Champ DH racer to Enduro convert on the top spot of the podium followed by the Enduro specialist Jerome Clementz and Jared Graves, 4Xer-turned-Enduro-racer in third. In the women's Anne-Caro Chausson retired after a crash on stage 1, leaving the door open for Tracy Moseley, World Champ DHer-come-Enduro racer to win from World Champ DHer Emmeline Ragot and World Cup XCer Cecile Ravanel in third.
Of note:
Jared Graves - what a machine! All that training sure looks to have paid off, and it looks like the message is out loud and clear: Graves is not to be trifled with. Martin Maes pips team mate Dan Atherton to 4th spot, not bad for a 16-yr old (including a crash on PS4). Ben Cruz brings home 6th for the US of A. Blenki in 7th - tidy for the DHer, beating some of Enduro's biggest names in the process.
Tracy's time puts her in 85th spot overall, 3.43 off Barel. Emmeline Ragot was a further minute back, 113th overall.
A few words from your winner, Fabien Barel, thanks to

Alex Cure takes down some heavy World Cup talent in the urban prologue at Punta Ala as competition in the Enduro World Series gets underway!

Anne Caroline Chausson wins the women's Prologue. Women's times are lumped into the full results. Anne Caroline placed 67th out the 400 competitors on the list. Emmeline Ragot was the 2nd fastest women in 80th and Tracy Moseley was 3rd.

## UPDATE ## - Sven just wrote saying "Anne did it in the rain. Dudes did it in dry." - AWESOME!

The times of this short urban Prologue count toward competitors overall enduro times this weekend. Originally, there were to be 5 stages, but weather concerns forced the elimination of one of the stages. Racers now have 4 timed stages on Sunday and each timed stage is approximately 4-5 minutes in length.

So is Vital going to have any "hydration pack checks" for future Enduro races? I'm curious to what the riders are carrying inside them besides water. Tools, tubes, pump/co2, frying pans?

Yeah Barel was on his proto 650b, but he won last week on the 26". The results here basically confirm to me that 650B is way over-hyped. Speaking of hype, check out Fab's comments on fork technology in the DirtTV pre-race vid. Good stuff!

Blenkinsop 7th!!? Looks like he's taking pedaling a bit more seriously, maybe he'll nab a WC this yr. No doubt he's always had insane skill

As a downhiller, he is probably way more fit than most people would give the young guy credit for. Doesn't he also always do pretty damn good at the Garbanzo Downhill race too? Has even won it before?

Either way, nice result!
