KHS Bicycles presents The 2010 KHS Bicycle Gravity Open DH Race at Plattekill Bike Park, May 20-23, 2010. It will be the second stop of the Pro/Am Gravity Tour in 2010. The Pro Gravity Tour is the USA Cycling National Series for Downhill racing. The KHS Bicycle Gravity Open will feature a UCI Downhill Points Race and will also be used a the Junior World Team Qualifier for the World Champs. The pro leader of the Pro Grt Series will also be automatically qualified to the USAC World Team. This race will also be the Innagural Eastern States Cup Race.  Pros will compete for a $1575 Cash Purse. Amateurs will compete for 4 complete KHS Bicycles. The four Complete bikes will go to the fastest Cat 1,2,3 Men and the fastest Amateur Woman. These are all top of the line KHS Bicycles with a total value of over $15000

Venue:
Plattekill Bike Parkis located in Roxbury, NY. The park has been hosting downhill mtb races for well over a decade. The trails are endless and offer something for riders of all abilities. The fall line trail sections are very steep and the natural terrain offers loose shale with large rock drops. Plattekill Bike Park uses two lifts accessing two distinct peaks. Lift attendants place your bikes on the chair for the ride up. The base lodge offers a cafeteria, bike shop and restrooms. On the deck will be burgers and refeshments. Including a free lunch on Saturday for all Pro/Elite registered riders, courtesy of sicklines.com.

Plattekill will be open Thursday thru Monday for riding and practicing.

The following Weekend is The US Open in NJ, approx 2 hours away.
