Really interesting! The only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on a orbea rise is the rattle (and maybe the non removable battery but should be manageable). But its kinda weird that I read and hear accounts like the video I linked above that say and show that at least some ep801 rattle similar to their predecessor.

Not sure if it matters, but my bike is listed as a 2024. I'll check the motor tomorrow and see if it's designated a 23 or 24.

Or can you just go down the street and hit this stuff he's filming on a XR100?

I don't know anything about trail systems in Cali, but in NC/SC, you can tell if you're on a moto trail or a bike/hike/horse trail.
And no, there's no place where a moto can be on a multi-use trail here.
I blame you all for this video popping into my feed.

But it also is how I see things going. "Bike" parks all don't allow motors, but if the eebs like this cost less or the same as your electric mopeds, won't be long before people skip mopeds, go to these, and bike parks shift to catering to motos (electric motos).

um but no, he appears unconcerned with traffic laws--where the rules are way clearer and enforceable than MTB--can't imagine he's worried about trails at all.

He's great though. If I were in my 20s and childless I'd be doing the same shit. Imagine paying your bills with 2 wheel hooliganism. Fantastic.

We live in a mad world. Cops used to show up at our house & break us down if a neighbor 3 miles away "described" a moto as we crossed a road to get to a trail/property we were allowed to go on.

Now, you get to film every illegal activity on earth, post it online, name yourself something nerdy & the internet cuts you checks for being the world's biggest douche bags.  We went to jail for turning a Hardees sign at 2am from the breakfast menu to the lunch menu with a line of cars behind us.

My permanent record has one thing: "Injury to Real Property"
Meanwhile, this dude is the world's justification for abstinence.

I got arrested and charged a felony for drunkenly swinging around a public park hours sign that broke the rusty bolt heads off the base. They claimed $1000 to repair, I fought it and turns out it took $35 to fix. Still got 40 hours of public service and 1 year of probation 😑...

People get to be douchebags like that nowadays because 90% of people just want to stare at their phone and dream about doing everything under the sun. 10% of people actually doing something and everyone else stuck on tiktok, fortnite, and youtube shorts.

When we were that age you couldn't make a phone call if you were on the internet, so we were all outside actually doing things. the risk of 10+ Moto bro's showing up to a neighborhood empty-lot track on a moment's notice was real, so they had to nip it in the bud whenever the locals were acting up.

You guys just gotta sell your electric mopeds and buy the next one so you can forget about the schmuck who buys who buys it used will eventually be forced to dispose of it in the least ecologically documentable way & the polluto-ped simply vanishes & we don't speak of it again.

You know...like when you throw  a Ryobi dead battery in the battery  recycling bin at Home Depot & that bad boy always hits the bottom unimpeded by a single contractor's battery ever.

Ignorance is bliss.  I have a full suspension e-mtb with 19,636 kms. (almost 5 years ago). In the Spring of 2023 I purchased a hardtail e-mtb.  I avidly ride both.  Fun, fun, fun.
