val di sole is open for picks.

this is a saturday race, so picks must be made by 10pm PST Friday (about 37 hours from now).

going through making my picks I see one flaw in how riders are ranked. If they don't qualify it doesn't count as a result. So Lisa Bouladou is ranked as having her last finish be 3rd. Which was her MSA JR result. She hasn't made a final this year and is coming in more expensive then Phoebe Gale who has a 7th and 8th this season. Just something to look into for the future.

I don't want to give too much away during the season, but there are definitely some cool strategies to work with, the way vital set up the league is pretty interesting.

As mentioned above, Asa could win every round and would still be too expensive. There are a couple things vital could do with the pricing to help, but I'm keeping my thoughts to myself until the last round Smile

Welp, looks like I knew nothing and will be tumbling down the rankings

There wasn't a huge selection of riders that were positive points/$ like in previous rounds, the results will be interesting. I'm definitely dropping down though, that was a rough one.

Just want to say big thanks to Vital for the coverage. This fantasy format has me more engaged than ever, watching all the Raw's and trackwalks, paying attention through quali, and semi's, adjusting strategy, making changes to my squad all weekend. Just stoked, big props to all that make it happen!

Could not agree more. I’ve been a passing spectator of the World Cups for years, but this year I’m INTO IT. Thanks Vital.

Not as catastrophic as expected, I had a lot of the riders from the best possible team, but Jess Blewit was a hard hit on the points, just like Tahnee in Leogang, oh well that's racing.

As above, I love that Vital's fantasy implementation rewards underdogs from all categories, it actually makes the entire show more exciting, rather than just tuning in for the top 10 men!

15th on the day puts me tied for 40th. Not bad since Ollie missed out on points. Some junior men underscored for me but junior women made up for it.

sitting second overall in The Race Companion league. Behind Goldstone’s Knee. Lol

id like to place 5th at some point to get that t shirt. its hilarious how bummed i would be if i finished 4th instead.

the 1st place price is crazy sick however. wondering what first place overall prize will be.

glad it's been fun for everyone! i feel the same way about being way more tuned in than ever before. hope it helps the sport grow! i must have lucked out round 1 b/c i've been in the high just below 900 points every round since. vali and myriam results def dropped my $/pt value this week

re: @BGoldstone and your message above - we're always trying to hone in rider values etc, so we'll keep trying there. it won't happen this year most likely, but displaying non-finals points/results better is the in plans as well.

was just checkin everyones scores, and i noticed for the overall standings alis well ahead with that 1680. a score well above the 'max score' of most of the events we see.

did we change the points payout at some point? or did he actually just ace a perfect team or something?

and in those regards, will the end of year overall be decided on outright points or do a placings calculation (1st 2nd 3rd etc for each event that add up then lowest number)

feel like im missin somethin with that first winning score being much higher than the max scores we see now

the perfect score was higher that round. more than 1800.

But they had 27 players and 25 scored points so that's going to give a higher score.

It's expected for the points to go down throughout the year, as the early season underdogs will be getting pricier and pricier.

You guys are killing it, the fantasy model is fun and well thought out. Really curious about the overall impact of fantasy (Vital + PCool on the engagement KPIs of WCDH (your sites, teams, broadcasters).

Les Gets Fantasy is open.

https://www.vitalmtb.com/fantasy/2024/les-gets

Bear in mind the UCI still has not submitted the official qualifying start list which we usually build from. the Les Gets game is opened with the "Entry" list. some of the riders you can choose may not be racing and there could be riders missing from the list. when the start list is made available, we'll add/delete accordingly. if you don't pick a team until closer to the race (after qualis/semis), none of this will matter : )

fantasy has been updated. all riders in the race were already in there, but if a racer was not on the quali start list, they've been marked as "out" which has a medical flag. doesn't necessarily mean they're hurt, but they aren't racing, so def someone you don't want to pick : )

So will fantasy points go by juniors qualis?

I think I scored just short of 1200 points counting juniors. No idea if it's good or bad

It should. How else would they score. Took a different approach this week and ended up with 1,2 & 4 on the women’s side somehow

fantasy results have been compiled and are processing, they should show up shortly. we went with how the UCI scored it, which is juniors earning points based on their qualifying results due to canceled finals.

same structure as if it was finals (1st place 60 etc, top 25 Jr Men and top 10 Jr. Women).

here are the standings PDFs that show junior results and scores since they didn't have an actual finals results sheet.

Junior Men (PDF)

Junior Women (PDF)

Les Gets is Round 5, Points (Position)
