2025 Team Rumors

I could see if Canyon cut back and the FMD team ended up on Atherton bikes.. It would give them a team that is believe is already in for next year... If Kolb is going to YT, what's the word on Charlie? He goes to FMD also?

Purely pulling this out of my ass...

I don't find it crazy, they might not of have the ability to get along when they were in direct competition with each other, but now that has ended they may find they share some common ground. Tahnee's team may be having a little trouble with sponsorship (just a hunch and no facts to back this up, weird team setup though), maby if she can take some sponsors to Atherton it would be mutually beneficial.

More likely to have Myles Rockwell come back and win a DH World Cup than see Tahnee on an Atherton bike.

Tahnees Dad is the FMD Team manager (and has done quite well from Tahnees's racing career). There is no way she goes to race for another team without him.

Latest Ed Bull media, you hear BK telling Llyody, … already has his new bike in the pits, tell him to get it out. Then Ed shouts out the forum.

Why?

Not saying fmd isn’t one of the coolest set ups in the pits nor that her and her dad’s team didn’t grow together.

But with the incoming rules it could make a lot of sense for tahnee to move to a team where elite status is guaranteed and maximizes her individual pay and Tony can focus on Kaos and devoloping gale and future young talent.

This is why you're playing with fire working that closely with family. It works great, until it doesn't, then things can get dicey. Tony should offer to walk away and let Tahnee decide what's best for her, but will he do that without friction?

I saw that and could swear BK said Andi has his new bike in the pits.

Yeah that’s my best guess too. I just couldn’t hear it clear enough to confirm.

Here's the official statement from the YT Mob on re-upping Oisin O'Callaghan:

Oisin O’Callaghan Re-signs with YT Mob until 2027

YT Industries is excited to announce the contract extension of Oisin O’Callaghan as he signs with the YT MOB for a further three years. After being scouted through the MOB WORLD TOUR at age 16, Oisin has embodied the definition of Young Talent while climbing the downhill ranks. He's racked up a list of achievements in that time, including a Junior World Championship and UCI Elite race win, podium finishes, and multiple Irish National Championship titles.

“I’m stoked to continue my career with a great team around me and keep the good times rolling. Looking into the next three years, my goal is to get some more World Cup wins and chase that Elite World Champs title, but for now, I’m proud to be consistent.” - Oisin O’Callaghan, YT MOB Downhill Athlete

“We’re stoked to continue the journey with Oisin O’Callaghan. He’s the definition of Young Talent! Since 2020 he’s played an important part in our World Cup program. It’s a real honor to have him on board until 2027.” - Gunnar Franke, MOB Team Manager

This one's somewhat a team and a tech rumor I guess: Judging by Orbea's oolap post from today it looks like their DH bike is ready which would take one thing hindering them from starting a DH team off the table.

Ten rounds of DH! That will make for an amazing battle for the overall. Very much looking forward to following along (again!).

He is currently on a Trek sponsored team, showing good potential, and with spots opening on the factory team, it's the next logical step for Trek..

Minnaar retires.

Staying as Team Director of Norco but that surely leaves a high level spot at NFR.

Martin confirm (kind of) he will ride the 10 rounds next year so...maybe that long time promised dh bike is soon alive!

I though that was more of a spy shot of Pivot's new Phoenix DH bike. That could also be Morgan Charre who's racing at MSA this weekend.

Pivot taking that "family" atmosphere of the team to a whole new level. 😂

Watching Norco go from publicly announcing they were shutting down their race team to then signing Greg and now potentially adding 3 more riders has been quite the roller coaster but I'm here for it.

I believe that Daprela has guaranteed access to the WC because he is the national champion, It seems early to me for any big team to have the courage to hire him.
