It's always been amazing to me that Saracen has a race team.
Zero people on them in North America.  I realize they're a Euro-centric brand.

Same goes for a Madison kit.

Sucks to lose a team.
Anyone with inside knowledge know if the factory team fee for 2025 was announced causing this, or just purely a financial decision internally regardless of pending series changes?

More like UK-centric I think. Never seen one here in Scandinavia either.

Madison Saracen no more for 2025

Madison Saracen no more for 2025

definitely a bummer, but at least they riders know now so they can work on lining up sponsors for next year.

Think it’s going to be a total cull with all team, there’s a lot of riders out there not making it through qualifying, it’ll be hard to justify their places on teams.

the young ones just seem hungrier for it.

for the old guys out there, can they really compete with the new generation speed?

really think at the end of the season we’ll see a lot of riders just riding off into the sunset.

I've been hearing that the WC will look more like F1 next year with 14 stops across the globe, further raising the budgets needed to participate in the series and limiting the races to a elite group of riders.

I'm sure we will generally see a lot fewer team next years and new riders can only join WC racing when one of the big dogs retires or gets injured.

Wonder what impact this will have on feeder series and on what brands we'll generally be seeing on the circuit...

this year there were 14 stops across XC, DH, and Enduro, but only 7 DH races. wonder what the breakdown will be for 2025.

I've not seen the big Gwin news on Vital -- maybe I missed it?
But Gwin OFF Fox and onto Ohlins... Mentioned it on the broadcast from Les Get and just posted photo.
Pretty big deal considering his very long term/high profile relationship with them for many many years.
I've heard through channels that Fox is really hurting financially right now and even not racing, Gwin demands large contracts so they probably had to cut ties. My guess is Ohlins offered more than Rockshox.

That’s the thing…… Ohlins is a buy in deal, or least it was. Team pay them for product and support. pretty sure that’s been mentioned in the past.
But will he get the same level of support and new tech as the Specialized Gravity Team……. time will tell.

that‘s the myth from motoGP but in mtb öhlins sponsors their teams the same way as RS and fox does. otherwise they wouldn‘t have a chance to get their feet into the bike market.

if fox is really that hurting maybe it‘s time to get their insane prices down to an acceptable level… outside of the US it‘s ridiculous, especially in europe.

Considering both have their US service centers here in Asheville/Hendersonville, there are parallels.

It's going to take some big $$$ from companies outside of cycling to keep the train rolling.

The expanded series if done overnight is a disaster for the smaller teams.  I think we'll see many more than Madison planning to exit. They need outside money, and to share it more broadly if they're going to have that many stops.

20 teams Next year, fair few are going to go along with privateers. The ones who are good and have good points will be getting team rides. Cut throat.

riders not tagging brands on social media has started. They are the ones not renewing or moving on. Eyes peeled.

10 dh race with worlds

7 EDR with worlds all Europe due to ebike racing too hard to y with batteries.

9 Xc with worlds

It's the one where the chin strap is plastic and flips down in one piece instead of having a buckle

Wonder if he forced Canyon to sign Bronny to a 3 yr World Cup deal based on potential like he did the Lakers? Laughing

I'm a destination, oh so fine,
For skiers and snowboarders, I'm truly divine.
A stop on the tour, I'm proud to say,
Part of the expansion, in a major way.
But don't expect snow, I'm a different sight,
A dirt stop awaits, a new delight!
