fun times for all!!!

i never understood the #bringbacklittermag thing. uh. it's right here. if you look at old littermags, the stuff people are nostalgic about is pretty c-level at best. sure the speech bubbles and "art" might have been fun but the sentiment and trying-to-be-funny writing isn't actually that funny. world cup shows had 7 photos a day. now we have like 400 and the captions are even better. there's plenty of voice here. there's just 500x the internet distraction now than there was then.

i have a 17 questions w/ sponsel that matt thompson shot with his phone two years ago. he sent it in like 40 different emails with single attachments. i never got through all the files. it may be time for some grunt work.

To me it's the joke/mockery of bigger news media vs. the keyboard warrior. For a certain generation Littermag is the little dude that mad it big and that is whats so rad about vital, but who doesn't have nostalgia...

Team Robot is just scratching our itch for the key board warrior that DGAF about who's happy with what you say. I will say that team robot does not have the depth that Litter did. Maybe Loam Wolf is going to fill that, but I don't think it will as its still a business and someones livelihood.

Internet is now 99% about that ad revenue and I'm not talking just bikes. Spomer you rock and don't stop hustling, just cus it's all about clicks!

fair enough and i totally understand. it's funny, the perception. i'm still some out-of-shape, hairy, DH fan working on a laptop in my garage. i just stand at my desk instead of sit, don't drink mtn dew anymore (saddestfaceever) and get to support a family through the work b/c of ads and the kick-ass people helping out w/ the business side of things when it went from litter to vital.

i feel like SO much of what we do at vital has nothing to do w/ clicks or view counts. but i've always been bummed if content i'm passionate about doesn't get stellar views. it's almost predictable that if i care a lot about a piece of content, it's not a view-count breaker. over time i've grown to be ok w/ that b/c everyone here believes in the good stuff. that belief is inline w/ you super fans, too. when our core audience is stoked, that's when we're most stoked!
