I have a 2019 Fox 36 grip2, i've noticed that I have to let the air out of the air spring and reinflate every couple rides or it starts sucking down in travel and also becomes harder to use the available travel. For example, after inflating it will show 180mm of stanchion but after couple rides that will be down to 170mm of stanchion, and it will be harder to use more than 150mm travel. I do the zip tie under the fork seal trick occasionally but that doesnt seem to do anything. I just recently had the damper cartridge rebuild and re-lubed the air spring so i don't think theres any damage to the air spring. Any ideas on what's happening?

Sounds like you are suffering from a very well known issue: too much slick honey in the air chamber(clogging the equalization port). I had this same problem with my old 36. Drop the lowers, remove the air shaft clean it, and reapply a thin layer of slick honey(or other suspension grease) and reassemble(pro tip: pump up air chamber to 60psi before sliding on the lowers). This should fix your dilemma.

The above or it could also be a slow leak in your positiver air chamber from either the valve or the top cap. If it was leaking while you were at sag riding that would keep it under the equalization point and slowly fall into the travel as the negative spring is now stronger. Spray some soapy water or muc-off around the area. I've definitely damaged the Schader valve seal before doing a quick service and had this happen.

Easy fix likely. Bring it to a shop who knows what they are doing with Fox stuff. My $0.02 is to avoid Fox CS at all costs. As good as their product is, their cs is equally as bad.

could be vacuum forming in the lowers. The old zip tie down the seal might help, cost nothing.
